About these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Trade-OS platform operated by GECKOSOFTWARE LTD. By creating an account or using Trade-OS, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service. The product name is hyphenated as Trade-OS.

Who can use Trade-OS

• Business use only. You confirm you are 18+, operating lawfully in the UK, acting for commercial purposes (not as a consumer), and have authority to bind your business.
• Consumer protection rules that apply to consumers do not usually apply when you use Trade-OS as a trades business subscribing to operational software — your statutory position should be clarified with advisers if you are unsure.

Your account

• Provide accurate information and keep credentials and sign-in flows secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.
• One tenant account per business unless we agree otherwise in writing.
• Suspicious activity: contact hello@tradeoshq.com.

What Trade-OS provides

Trade-OS helps you run and present your trades business — customers, catalogues, quotes, proposals, limited reporting, and related tools. We are not your accountant, lawyer, bank, supplier, or marketplace. Anything you send to customers is your responsibility to get right.

Service availability is best-effort. We may pause for maintenance or reasons outside our control and will give reasonable notice where practical.

Pricing responsibility and platform templates

All prices you quote are yours. Trade-OS does not set, fix, or guarantee materials, labour, or other amounts. Before you send a quote, you must verify costs, rates, and quantities for the specific job.

Platform-provided job templates (if shown) are indicative only — they do not reflect your supplier deals, region, or today’s market. They are a starting point, not a finished quote. Where the product asks you to confirm prices before send, that confirmation is an acknowledgment you have checked what you are issuing.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trade-OS is not liable for pricing errors, commercial losses, or disputes between you and your customers arising from what you quote.

Subscriptions, trials, and payments

• Paid access is by subscription. Plans and prices are shown in the product and may change with notice.
• Free trials (where offered) end unless you subscribe. Renewal charges are billed in advance as stated at checkout or in-account.
• Cancellation: you may cancel for the future; access continues until the end of your current billing period unless we say otherwise in the product.
• Refunds follow our separate refund overview and are limited as described there and in these Terms.
• Failed payments may trigger reminders, suspension after a grace period, and eventual deletion timelines described in supporting policies.

Your data and content ownership

• You retain ownership of data you contribute. You grant Trade-OS a licence strictly to host it to provide the service.
• We may use anonymised aggregates to operate and improve the platform and (over time) industry insight products — never in a way that identifies you publicly as an individual subscriber in those materials.
• Full detail on lawful bases, subprocessors, and rights sits in our Privacy Policy.

If you store your customers' personal data in Trade-OS, our Data Processing Addendum explains, in the form data-protection law requires, how we process it on your behalf and what each of us is responsible for. The DPA forms part of these Terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Trade-OS — including fraud, illegal activity, malware, unauthorised access attempts, circumventing limits, scraping without permission, impersonation, mis-selling, or resale of platform access. See our Acceptable Use Policy for detail.

Intellectual property

The Trade-OS platform, trademarks, curated templates supplied by us, and our UX belong to GECKOSOFTWARE LTD unless agreed otherwise in writing. You may not reverse engineer the service to build a competing product or extract our catalogues for external commercial use without permission.

Limitation of liability and “as is” service

The platform is provided “as is”. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation or that outputs meet every compliance need of your trade.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost profits, lost contracts, indirect or consequential loss, or pricing disputes. Our aggregate liability is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before a claim (subject to non-waivable law).

Governing law and disputes

English law applies. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any non-waivable rights elsewhere. We will aim to resolve issues practically before formal proceedings where that is proportionate.
